Make a Film in a Day - Atlanta

We will meet at The Make a Film in a Day Classroom in either Fayetteville, Georgia, near Atlanta, or a location in or near Macon, Georgia. Most shooting is done on location based on the story developed. Georgia has such rich art and culture and has become known "Gallywood", since it is Hollywood in Georgia.

We will break into groups depending on attendance and work collaboratively through inception of idea, storyboarding, shot list and script for a "short". (We do accept script submissions in advance for MAFIAD-3 as well as have pre-approved stock scripts on hand).

Courses:

MAFIAD 1- Make a Film in a Day - 8 hours to develop, plan, film, edit and screen a "short film". Perfect for people wanting to learn and understand the entire filmmaking process. Participants will receive IMDb Credit for their role on the film. Great for all experience levels and talent (actors, cinematographers, editors, sound, audio, directors, producers, or newbies).

​MAFIAD 2 - Make a Film in a Day -- Improvisational Screenwriting - 3 hour session to develop a story, story board, and use of improv to develop a script with dialog.

MAFIAD 3 - Make a Film in a Day - Cast & Shoot, This is a 3 hour session devoted to shooting and producing a film created in one of our prior sessions. Take an existing script (or story idea and shot list) to film a "short " film from 3 to 7 minutes. Great opportunity for Cinematographers to perfect their skills, Actors to obtain additional reel and Screenwriters to turn their work into reality. (We do accept script submissions in advance for MAFIAD-3 as well as have pre-approved stock scripts on hand).

MAFIAD 4 - Make a Film in a Day – Film Editing. This 3 hour session is devoted to editing a "short film", including adding royalty free music to create a soundtrack, color correction, transitions and titling.

All the above sessions focus on learning and having fun. The full day session comes with screen credit on IMDb.
